After School Programs

Del Haven

Delhaven Community Center is a private non-profit grassroots social service agency founded in La Puente, in June of 1972. Servicing the Eastern San Gabriel Valley, Del Haven provides over 27 programs and services for children ages 5 to 18, "at risk" youth, mentally challenged adults, families, and the community in general. Del Haven offers California School an after school program  for students in grades K-6. They assist students with homework and additional extracurricular activities, such as basketball, arts & crafts, and a yearly talent show.

21st Century

This program supports  the creation of community learning centers that provide academic enrichment opportunities during non-school house for children. The program helps students meet state and local student standards in core academic subjects, such as reading and math; offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement their regular academic programs; and offers literacy and other educational services to the families of participating children.
